Anemia is a condition in which there is a decrease in red blood cells and enough oxygen is not carried by these cells to various organs. There can be many causes of anemia which include nutritional deficiencies like iron and vitamin B12, increased breakdown of red blood cells, and decreased production of red blood cells. Patients usually develop weakness and tiredness.
